Milwaukee Charter Fishing Lake Trout

Milwaukee charter fishing has some great Lake trout fishing spots. Milwaukee just north of the mid lake reef complex and there is a lot of Lake trout living there. Lake trout are the only trout or salmon species that spawns out in the lake and not in a river. These fish use reefs to spawn on. Lake Michigan mid lake reef is very large and perfect Lake trout habitat. Although we are not allowed to fish in the this are for Lake trout we are able to fish around it and the bite is very good at times. In this picture you see a limit catch with some big Lake trout. The trout in the  front row are all between 15 to 20 pound fish. These big Lake trout are fun to catch. Depending on the time of year we could be fishing along the shore line, in front of the harbor, Out in 100 feet of water or offshore by the reef in 250- 300 feet or water.
