Milwaukee Charter Fishing Fall Chinook Salmon

Late August through late September the salmon come back to spawn in the rivers they were stocked. The Milwaukee river and the Milwaukee harbor is one of those areas. Chinook salmon spawn after being in Lake Michigan for three or four years. At this time they are at their peak weight. This can be anywhere from 12 to 35 pounds, so this can be an opportunity to catch a trophy. We boat fish in volume at this time fishing in the harbor area but we usually will catch a few big ones. You don't need to be an expert fisher person to land one. This father and son caught 5 fish on this trip and one was a 30 pound Chinook salmon. There first salmon ever. Milwaukee charter fishing is fun all season but fighting a fish like this right in front of the city is special.
