Brown Trout Charter Fishing

This was the biggest Brown trout that Silver King Charters has ever boated to date and it happened in July of 2015. It officially weighted just a hair over 32.5 pounds. This fish was a beast. It hit a 150 copper board with a R & R Special spoon in 90 feet of water, while we were Milwaukee charter fishing. Tom is the lucky one to catch the fish and it took about 40 minutes to boat the monster. We at first thought is was a Chinook because it started to run but shortly after that we assumed it was a 15 plus pound Lake trout. We took to more fish until this one was close to the boat. At that time I thought is was a 20 plus pound Lake trout. We had already boated 10 Lake trout and it seemed logical considering were we were fishing. But when it was 20 feet from the boat my first mate Colin could see it was a big Brown trout. I grabbed the net from him and went for the fish. I almost could not get the fish into the boat but when I did and saw how big it was I fell to my knees. You see the Salmon-A-Rama starts two days from when we caught this fish and it for sure would have won the $20000 grand prize. Heartbreak city!!!! I had Colin get the scale and we weighted at just over 33 pounds. We later had it weighed on the official Salmon-A-Rama scale that was already set up and it was 32.5 pounds. Incredible fish and Tom did get it mounted. Great job to Tom and his crew for make such a great memory for me.
